5 STROKE DIFFERENTIAL RULE/Within your FLIGHT

“Palmer Flight” – Handicaps between 6-10

“Nicklaus Flight” – Handicaps between 11-15

                                                    Scoring Rules:
5 stroke differentials which means you can shoot 5 strokes lower than your target score…6 strokes or more automatically bumps you up to the next flight.

Example: Nicklaus Flight (12-18) player has a handicap of 15. Course Rating is 72 from the tee he/her playing the target score is 87. So with the 5 stroke differential means this player can shoot net 82 if this player shoots net 81 or less would be outside the 5 strokes which automatically bumps this player to the Palmer Flight.

                    No USGA/GHIN Handicap Required

The WWAGC realizes the vast majority of amateur players do not have an official USGA Handicap. That's fine, we want you to play and compete in our tournaments knowing that we are working to ensure that the honesty and integrity of the game are preserved.

*Local Qualifying Tournaments: Your Final NET Score must be within your Designated Flight that you played in, based upon the Handicap you declared. If you shoot "below" your Handicap by more than FIVE STROKES, you will be bumped into the Flight below you for Final Scoring. Each golfer will sign a contract stating that their Handicap is accurate to their knowledge.

*National Championship: Your Handicap will be based upon the final NET Score you shot in your Local Qualifying Tournament. Your Final NET Score must be within your Designated Flight that you played in, based upon the Handicap you declared or were assigned. If you shoot "below" your Handicap by more than FIVE STROKES, you will be bumped into the Flight below you for Final Scoring. Each golfer will sign a contract stating that their Handicap is accurate to their knowledge.
